Our submissions guidelines are above. If you have any questions you can email us at publisher@moonandstarspress.com. Please allow up to three (3) business days for a response.
If your manuscript is between 25,000 and 100,000 words and fits what we are looking for, as described above we will consider it. We will not look at manuscripts under 25,000 words, nor will we consider non-fiction.
Your passion, quality of writing and voice is what will make your manuscript stand out and be considered for publication.
Subgenres of romance we are seeking include, but are not limited to, historical, romantic suspense, romantic comedy, futuristic, gay/lesbian, contemporary, Western, erotic romance and fantasy.
Miniseries have proven to be very popular with readers and we are looking for interesting twists on established popular-romance themes and tropes (marriage of convenience, cowboys, friends to lovers, billionaires, and more). We are interested in seeing your fresh interpretation on these tropes and themes. The only limit is your imagination!
Other elements that work in this genre (but are not required in order to be considered for publication) include increased sensuality, love triangles, protagonists with traumatic events in their background, and generally interesting protagonists.
Stories can be stand alone or as part of a series. For those that are part of a series, please also submit a series overview—a brief, one-page outline of future books or plot elements. If the relationship takes place over the course of several books and the HEA will occur in a later book, please submit a series overview as stated above.
Please allow three (3) weeks for an editorial response to your submission. If a response has not been received after three (3) weeks, please follow-up by email with us at publisher@moonandstarspress.com.
All submissions should be submitted in PDF format and sent via email to publisher@moonandstarspress.com together with a cover email letting us know something about who you are, and what your interests and passions are so that we can get a sense of you not only as an author but as a person as well.
If you receive an offer of publication from another publisher and need to know the status of your submission with us, in order to make a decision before signing a contract with another publisher, or if you need to withdraw your manuscript from consideration, you may also do this via email.
We look forward to reading, and hopefully publishing, your submissions.
